Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup desiccated coconut powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup coconut milk powder

Instructions

  • To begin, soak 1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut powder in 1 cup milk in a large mixing bowl.
  • Mix well, making sure the desiccated coconut powder is well combined and absorbs all the milk.
  • Transfer the desiccated coconut powder and milk mixture into a large kadai.
  • After adding 1/2 cup coconut cream, cook for a minute.
  • Also, add 1 cup coconut sugar and cook until the coconut sugar melts.
  • Cook for another 1 1/2 cups coconut milk powder on medium heat.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of vinegar and continue to cook. The addition of VCO enhances the flavour and shine of the peda.
  • Cook until the mixture starts to hold shape and separates from the pan.
  • Cool the mixture slightly.
  • And start to prepare small, ball-sized peda.
  • To get the lovely coating, roll the peda in desiccated coconut powder.
  • Make a small hole using the back of the spatula.
  • Finally, enjoy the coconut peda recipe or store it in the refrigerator for a week.
