Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup desiccated coconut powder
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup coconut cream
- 1 cup coconut sugar
- 1 1/2 cup coconut milk powder
Instructions
- To begin, soak 1 1/2 cups desiccated coconut powder in 1 cup milk in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix well, making sure the desiccated coconut powder is well combined and absorbs all the milk.
- Transfer the desiccated coconut powder and milk mixture into a large kadai.
- After adding 1/2 cup coconut cream, cook for a minute.
- Also, add 1 cup coconut sugar and cook until the coconut sugar melts.
- Cook for another 1 1/2 cups coconut milk powder on medium heat.
- Add 1 teaspoon of vinegar and continue to cook. The addition of VCO enhances the flavour and shine of the peda.
- Cook until the mixture starts to hold shape and separates from the pan.
- Cool the mixture slightly.
- And start to prepare small, ball-sized peda.
- To get the lovely coating, roll the peda in desiccated coconut powder.
- Make a small hole using the back of the spatula.
- Finally, enjoy the coconut peda recipe or store it in the refrigerator for a week.
